Because family life doesn’t stand still

As a family photographer, I know that getting everyone together for a photoshoot can feel a bit daunting. You might be worrying if the kids will cooperate, if your partner will spend the whole time wishing that were anywhere else, or if the final images will look stiff and forced.

I get it, but a family session shouldn’t feel like a chore.

My approach is entirely relaxed, there’s no pressure to perform, no awkward posing, and no fake smiles. We will hang out, explore and let things happen naturally. If the kids run around or get chaotic, we will just roll with it because, honestly, those genuine, unfiltered moments are always the ones you will look back on years from now.

Let’s skip the stress and just capture your family exactly as you are right now.

I believe in keeping things completely transparent. You should know exactly what to expect before you book, without worrying about pushy sales tactics or surprise costs down the line.

Every family is different, which is why I don’t force you into a one-size-fits-all box. Once you’ve viewed your proofs on-site, you can choose from a range of straightforward digital packages or stunning physical prints for your walls. You only buy exactly what you love.

FAQs

Can we bring the dog?

Absolutely. Pets are part of the family, and they are more than welcome to join the madness. Whether we are on location or in the studio, if they have four legs, bring them along.

What should we wear?

Don’t panic, you don’t all need to wear matching white t-shirts. Once you’re booked in, I’ll send over a relaxed styling guide to help you choose comfortable, cohesive outfits that look great on camera without feeling stiff.

What if a kid gets sick or the weather goes completely downhill

Life happens, especially with children, and the local weather has a mind of its own. If someone wakes up unwell or the rain is sideways, we’ll simply shuffle things around and find a backup date that works. No stress, no penalty.

Do you offer extended family shoots?

Yes! If you want to bring grandparents, cousins, or the whole extended crew together for a session, we can absolutely make that happen. Just drop me a message and we can plan it out.

My child has additional needs; how do you handle that?

Every child is different, and my absolute priority is making sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and respected. We can choose a quiet, low-stimulus location, take as many breaks as needed, and completely follow their lead. Just let me know what works best for them ahead of time and we’ll plan the session entirely around their comfort zone.

What happens if my toddler completely meltdowns during the shoot?

Trust me, I have seen it all, and it is completely fine. Toddlers are unpredictable, and trying to force them to sit still and smile only makes it worse. If a meltdown happens, we pause. We grab a snack, have a cuddle, or change the game. Some of the most beautiful, candid images come right after a dramatic moment when they’ve calmed down and are just being comforted by you.

Can we do a mix of indoor studio portraits and outdoor shots?

We can absolutely look at tailoring a bespoke session if you want the best of both worlds. We can start with some clean, timeless portraits in a comfortable indoor setting, and then head outside to let the kids burn off some energy while capturing those wide-open, candid movement shots.

Is there a limit on how many family members can come to a standard session?

Standard sessions are perfect for immediate family (parents and kids). If you want to expand the shoot to include the wider family tree-like aunts, uncles, and grandparents just let me know when you get in touch so we can allocate the right amount of time to make sure everyone gets a beautiful portrait.

Because they’ll never be this small again

Days feel long, but the years fly by. Before you know it, teeth grow back in, clothes are outgrown, and another stage of their childhood has quietly passed. The chaotic, beautiful, perfectly imperfect moments happening in your household right now are the exact ones you’re going to want to remember most.

There will never be a perfect time when life is completely quiet or everyone is perfectly on track. The magic is in the mess of right now.

To ensure every family gets a completely unhurried, relaxed experience from start to finish, I only take on a limited number of sessions each month. Dates fill up quickly, especially for weekends. Let’s skip the procrastination and get your family’s story locked into the calendar today.
