Hello, my name is Jason, a photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My photography journey started in 2016. My first job as a photographer was one of my school friends’ weddings. From there, I fell in love with documenting couples’ big days and storytelling through imagery. My photography adventures have taken me all over Scotland, the UK, and beyond.
I’m truly grateful to share in your most cherished moments. Every time I step behind the camera, I’m not just capturing an image I’m witnessing a story that is uniquely yours. It’s an incredible privilege to be entrusted with the intimate details of your special day or your close family sessions. I see photography as a way to document the living, breathing real moments of real people and the connection, creating timeless keepsakes that resonate with yourselves.
Every wedding and portrait session presents a chance for us to collaboratively craft everlasting memories. The trust you place in me allows us to build a genuine connection, and that authenticity shines through in every frame. Thank you for inviting me into your world and allowing me to capture the magic that is uniquely yours.
I first picked up a camera in 2016, driven purely by curiosity and a love for capturing moments. What began as a pastime rapidly evolved into a passion, and throughout the subsequent years, I dedicated myself to acquiring knowledge, enhancing my technical proficiency and my creative vision, and producing a portfolio of work in which I took pride.
Eventually, photography became more than just a pastime it became my profession. I decided to return to college and pursue a formal qualification, and that journey led me to earn a First Class BA (Hons) in Professional Photography from Edinburgh College and Kingston University. That academic foundation gave me the confidence and credibility to match the business I’d been growing since 2016.
Now, my focus is on expanding that business with intention and purpose. I’m working towards securing a larger studio space, branching into videography to offer clients a complete visual package, and becoming a certified drone pilot to add stunning aerial perspectives especially for weddings and corporate projects.
Looking ahead, I’m also passionate about giving back. I plan to create opportunities for high school students to gain hands-on experience, explore teaching, and eventually offer apprenticeships. For me, this journey from amateur enthusiast to professional photographer is about more than just personal growth. It’s about contributing to the future of visual storytelling and helping others discover their own creative path.
While I shoot weddings, fashion, and on-location projects all over, I host my portrait and branding sessions right here in my dedicated home studio in Edinburgh. I deliberately made the transition away from commercial studio spaces to keep my overheads low and, more importantly, to keep the atmosphere entirely relaxed. I traded the cold, expensive commercial setup for a domestic space that’s fully professional but carries a much more relaxed, human energy. No high-pressure environment, no ticking clocks, and no corporate stiffness.
The studio is set up to make your visit as easy and comfortable as possible. When you get here, you don’t have to worry about Edinburgh’s nightmare parking you can just pull right into the driveway, and there is plenty of safe, free parking on the street as well. Inside, there is a proper restroom and a private, dedicated area where you can comfortably change outfits if you’re bringing a few different looks for your session.
The main room has all the proper studio lighting gear ready to go, alongside a dedicated media wall on the other side. This layout completely changes the traditional photography experience. Instead of waiting weeks for a digital gallery link, we can take your photos at your own pace, grab a coffee, and sit right down on the sofa to look through and choose your final images on the big screen right then and there. It’s straightforward, it’s comfortable, and because it’s a home studio, the coffee is significantly better than anything you’d get in a commercial business park.
